Before the submission to EASA, the Agency Advisory Board of EUROCONTROL requested the creation of a task force called WVTF (Wake Vortex Task Force) and the launch of a consultation process with the stakeholders. The members of the WVTF were representatives of the main European ANSP, Manufacturers/Industry, Airports, Regulation authorities, Pilot/Airline associations and European experts. The goal of the consultation process was to allow the different stakeholders to review the technical analysis and safety evidences prepared by EUROCONTROL to support RECAT-EU.
After 4 WVTF Consultation Meetings and more than 15 bilateral meetings (in a timespan of more than 6 months), the consultation ended with the positive agreement on the acceptability of the safety evidences and analysis prepared by EUROCONTROL.
